He makes Mercury Head, The Prisoner, and Beau Vigne amongst others. He is a rising star who was trained at Opus One and at Whitehall Lane. He has the background necessary to develop Beau Vigne’s French Clone 337 into a big complex Cabernet. Dave was voted winemaker of the year by Dean and Deluca and is receiving a lot of attention for his winemaking. Dark, rich and seductive style layered with a pointed entry. Aromas of cedar, tobacco leaf and crème de cassis. Centered with black cherry, blackberry, mocha and spice. The woven plush texture has a balance of fruit, acid and tannins that contribute to a long velvet finish. Full bodied and well endowed this cabernet sauvignon should age nicely for 10-12 years.
