Belle Glos 2007 Pinot Noir Santa Maria Valey Clark & Telephone Vineyard (Caymus)

Winemaker Notes - The land we farm in the Santa Maria Valley lies on the west-facing slope of the foothills that line the valley floor. Sun exposure is crucial in this area because temperatures remain cool. When the sun comes through the fog near midday, the vines use every bit that hits their leaves to ripen the grapes slowly, developing the complex flavors of the wine. Rich aromas of spiced ripe plum are framed by bright cranberry, toasted baking spices and deep caramel flavors. This is a full-bodied wine with refined tannins, firm acidity and a long finish.
