WS 89 Pts - According to Wine Spectator - This young, pithy wine shows good intensity, focus and purity of flavors build around citrus, green apple and honeydew melon, with light cedary notes. Elegant finish.
According to Wine Enthusiast - Oaky and simple, with buttered toast, buttered popcorn, caramel candy and pineapple jam flavors.
Tasting Notes - The fruit for this wine comes mostly from vineyards in Arroyo Seco and the Santa Lucia Highlands, including Rosella's and Ventana, as well as two in Monterey. 90% of the fruit is fermented in small French oak barrels and undergoes complete malolactic fermentation, while the remainder is done in stainless. The resulting wine is a decidedly rich Chardonnay, with tropical fruit and exotic spice with a burst of acidity to balance out the creamy texture.
