The wine’s aromatics are complex and show the red to dark fruits of Bing cherries, blackberries, red & black currants coupled with resin, cola, sandalwood and sweet spices. The wine enters the palate sweet, has a round mid palate and shows flavors of blackberries, cherries, plums and figs accented with tertiary flavors of anise, cocoa, tobacco and subtle dried herbs. The wine has a long finish that is layered with lush, fine grained tannins followed by a graceful acidity. Recommended cellaring 6–12 years.
