Cain Cuvee NV Napa Valley Red Wine NV6

Winemaker Notes - Without a doubt, Cain Cuvee is our most original creation. Unlike Cain Five and Cain Concept, both of which are about place, Cuvee is about Cain and our vision of what classical red wine can be. Of our three Cabernet blends, the NV6 Cuvee uses the most Merlot— in this case, 49% — which creates the plush and supple base. Mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc lend aromatic complexity and a bit of edginess to the taste so that the wine will dance on your palate. Also original to the Cuvee is the use of a portion of the previous vintage: 55% 2006 and 45% 2005. This adds complexity and polish to the finish.
