WE 91 Pts - According to Wine Enthusiast - Possibly the best Walter Clore to date, this is firm, with substantial dark-fruit flavors swathed in swirls of loam, blood, sweet tomato and red licorice. The relative coolness of the vintage seems to have allowed extra details to emerge, and the barrel aging has been handled sensitively.
According to Wine Spectator - Gravelly tannins surround a dark, stony-flavored swirl of black cherry and tar flavors, finishing with finesse. Needs time. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
Winemakers Notes - This classic Bordeaux-style wine opens with intense aromatics of milk chocolate, caramel, and coconuts. Wonderful blackberry, cherry and coco flavors on the palate grow into a softer but powerful and complex finish. This wine is sheer elegance. Rated 90+
