It has fruit-forward pineapple, kiwi and apricot flavors, brightened with citrusy acidity, and enriched by sweet, smoky oak. A rich, elegant wine to drink now with lamb, ahi tuna or by itself as an appetizer. Winemakers Notes - The 2010 Ferrari-Carano Tré Terre Chardonnay from Russian River Valley is a delicious, medium-bodied wine with aromas and flavors of Meyer lemon, pears, green apple, peach, marshmallow, fig and brown sugar. A wine with bright fruit and nice acidity, the Tre Terre Chardonnay has nutmeg, creamy butter and oak spice nuances that linger on the finish. Various Chardonnay clones comprise our Tré Terre Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley. Each lot for this wine is whole-cluster pressed, then cold settled for two days in stainless steel tanks, and within 24 hours is moved directly to barrels, utilizing different French oak cooperages. Aged completely separately in French oak, the wines complete 95 percent malolactic fermentation and are sur lie aged and stirred weekly for 10 months until bottled. Rated 90+

Ferrari-Carano 2010 Chardonnay Tre Terre
Great tasting Chardonnay with tons of citrus on the nose . Pears , Apple , Honey suckle , Floral notes ,White Peach even some tropical fruits as well . The body has some of these , as well as a butter , vanilla , oak , with a light mineral bite . Every taste is a balance between these two aspects of flavors . An excellent Summer time wine for the upcoming months .
