Winemakers Notes - In the tradition of classic Bordeaux wines, this year’s Director’s Cut Cabernet is blended with Petit Verdot and a small quantity of Cabernet Franc. The Petit Verdot, a perennial favorite of ours, hails from the east side of Alexander Valley.
Dark and luscious, this varietal contributes weight and length to our wine, while the Cabernet Franc lends interesting spice aromas. Rich and saturated, our 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts an elegant structure, moderated tannins, layered fruit expressions and a long, aromatic finish. Enjoy classic flavors of berries, cassis, and black cherries embellished by espresso bean nuances, spice, and toasted oak. Perfectly enjoyable now, but a cellaring period will also prove rewarding.
