Mar 24, 2011- WE 91pts - Winemaker Notes - This Chardonnay sparkles with a hue of polished brass. It fills the nose with pleasant aromas of apricot, honey and apple. Soft notes of vanilla and baking spices give way to luscious crème brulee. Wisps of tropical fruit provide balance, and the rich, velvety texture is complemented by even acid throughout. The creamy finish lingers deliciously. This wine is a flavorful complement to rich, creamy dishes. Serve with seafood chowder or butternut squash ravioli in a sage brown butter sauce. Also pairs well with grilled turkey sandwiches dressed with brie and apple butter.
