Sep 09, 2008- Tasting Notes - The color of the 2006 Petite Sirah is typical deep purple. The aromas of this year’s wine are exceptionally dense. The scents of concentrated black fruits are complimented by a rich bouquet featuring a smoky mocha-chocolate character that was contributed by aging exclusively on French oak. The wine’s flavor is of ripe boysenberry blackberries that are kept bright and succulent by the wine’s higher than average acid. The texture is rich and creamy, and full of well-rounded tannins. The finish is long and lingers for minutes after swallowing the wine.
