JS 92 WA 91+ - According to James Suckling - Aromas of fresh fruit, minerals and mint. Black licorice. Chocolate. Full-bodied but balanced with a pretty center palate. Dense and gorgeous. Better in 2016 but so delicious already. Traditional style.
According to Wine Advocate - Martini’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is very tight today, but it nevertheless dazzles with expressive dark red fruit, grilled herbs, licorice and dried flowers. An exotic, utterly beguiling Cabernet, the 2010 is long on personality and character. Tar, licorice and iron are some of the dark, brooding notes that add muscle and an element of darkness that is undeniably appealing. Readers will need to give the 2010 at least a few years in bottle. The future sure looks bright here. Best of all, within the context of California Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2010 is a steal. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.
According to Wine Spectator - Trim and restrained, with a narrow beam of currant, tobacco, cigar box and cedar. Well-made, focused and persistent. Drink now through 2020. 70,200 cases made.
According to Wine Enthusiast - This shows rich blackberry, black currant, chocolate and cedar flavors that are wrapped into smooth, fine tannins, with a long, distinguished finish. It’s a little warm in alcohol, but altogether this is a fine Cabernet for drinking now.
Tasting Notes - This wine presents inviting aromas of cassis, sweet herbs and hints of pipe tobacco. On the palate, it exhibits a firm structure and intriguing flavors of ripe black cherries, deep, briary red fruits and old-world complexities that linger through a memorable finish. Rated 90+
