Napa Valley could easily be considered the flagship wine growing region of California thanks in no small part to “The Judgment of Paris” wine tasting. The year was 1976 and the stage was set for a paradigm shift in the wine community. In a blind tasting a Napa Valley Cabernet and Chardonnay beat out their French counterparts in a blind tasting and in so doing shattered the image of the indomitable French Wine. Napa Valley is still making great wine, and is now the home to some of the most highly sought after grapes in the world.
