6 Pours = $ 16.00 Re-Tastes = $3.00
Txomin Etxaniz 2010 Txakolina Getariako Getaria: $18.95 Light straw-colored with an enticing bouquet of sea salt, mineral, baking spices, spring flowers and green apple, on the palate it is crisp, vibrant, impeccably balanced, and totally refreshing. But beware, its low alcohol and hint of spritz makes it go down very easy; in an instant the bottle is empty and you’re ready for more.
Francis Coppola 2008 Alicante Bouschet California Diamond Collection Magenta Label: $11.00 Francis Coppola remembers his grandfather making homemade wine in his basement from Alicante Bouschet grapes shipped from California. Yearning for this nostalgic varietal he grew up with, we went searching for the best Alicante vineyards in the state. Made from fruit of 85-year old vines found in Lodi, our Alicante Bouschet is rich in color, medium-bodied and loaded with lush, jammy fruit flavors.
Matchbook 2007 Tinto Rey California: $ 13.95 98pts California State Fair - Tempranillo is the king of Spanish red wines and one of the most important red varietals in our Matchbook vineyard in the Dunnigan Hills. The Spanish varietals Tempranillo and Graciano contribute spicy red berry fruit flavors; Syrah adds rich flavors of black cherry and blueberry; the spicy cedar and tobacco notes are from the cool-weather Cabernet Sauvignon; a touch of Petite Sirah pumps up the tannins, the rich color and adds a little pepper spice.
Northstar 2006 Stella Maris Columbia Valley Red Wine: $ 19.95 Tasting Notes - Polished, peppery and appealing for its glowing core of plum and blackberry fruit under a layer of spice and char. Shows intensity without much weight, but the finish could be a tad longer. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2013
Librandi 2008 Gravello Val Di Neto Calabria: $25.95 Winemaker Notes - 12 months in Allier barrels, and six months bottle ageing before going to market. A great wine to match with red meats, game, wildfowl, full flavoured strong, or even piquant cheeses.
Agricola Punica 2007 Barrua Isola Dei Nuraghi - In Store Sale: $ 25.95 Tre Bicchieri - The Agricola Punica estate operates in Sulcis [Sardinia] .Carignano is the most-planted variety and main ingredient in blending the two wines produced. Low yeilds per hectare and careful grape selection characterize production headed up by Sebastiano Rosa, known mostly for managing Tenuta San Guido... The estate's showcase Barrua [2007] easily won Three Glasses, thanks to a good growing season, especially for carignano, and the estate's unswerving attention to this variety. The '07 shows off its Mediterranean character with notes of scrub, spice and red berries and a palate that combines nice softness with brilliant acidity, pushing through to a deep, extremely clean finish over a creamy, mouthfilling tannic weaveThis is our 10th release. Dark berry flavors and a little spice.
