Perhaps Unappreciated
I've been drinking this wine every year since the 1986 vintage, and never had a bad bottle. I've loved it, liked it and ignored it, and perhaps bored with the fact that it always drinks well. I've been spoiled and sorry to say that I've taken this wine for granted. I've never been disappointed and it has become a standard of excellence earned from years of producing quality and quantities that we all can enjoy at a reasonable price. The've built a reputation that has made any critical review irrevelevant. Who cares about the small production wines that only a few have the opportunity to sample from the Wine Spectator's Top 100. Limited wines, rarely available upon publishing and overpriced. Making 200 cases for a few insiders, in one good year, is not impressive; try making 80,000 for many wine lovers, year after year; that's impressive!
