Et coup de coeur
Love at first glass. I was in the wine depot in Pikesville, MD over the weekend and picked up this delightful, sensual, full bodied, well balanced bottle of pleasantness. It was actually less than 8 dollars on sale but because the establishment was so upscale and the bottle was so pretty and bright, I picked it up. I loved just having it as a beautiful decoration on my dining room table, but when I actually opened and experienced it I was instantly in love. It made me feel like what I imagine poppy makes one feel as played out in movies, warm, relaxed, euphoric, sensual and happy. I am anticipating lovesickness because I only bought 1 bottle. So, until we meet again...smile, sigh. I've paid a lot more for a lot less enjoyment. Grab a few bottles for yourself and for your friends.

Poppy 2010 Pinot Noir Monterey
The Poppy Pinot Noir has been consistantley a winner. The 2010 dosen't disappoint. There is a good balance of acid and friut in this wine as there should be in a Pinot. It's not made to be terribly complex, it is made to be solid everyday drinker. It is fresh, rich and full of strawberry and raspberry flavors. Believe me, you won't go wrong in choosing this wine as a go to wine to enjoy by yourself or share with friends.
