Chateau Barrejat 2008 Madiran
Unique in every way this wine is a value as well.
It is full bodied, aromatic, and tannic. I picked up on the fig and tobacco as mentioned in the notes. You have to try it yourself to experience it.

A got to say this might be one of my new everyday table wines .Tannin is the key here . I'm not that familar with the Tannat grape (actually I don't think I've ever had it ) , but at times , thru out tasting this wine it sort of reminds me of a cab franc or maybe its the 20% cab they blend with the Tannat .Dark fruit flavors ,with chalk , iron and a little cocoa dust.Great wine for the money .

Hmmmmm
A bouquet of earth, a palate of I'm not really sure. The acid is strong. Not my style, but I know a certain Frenchman that would be in Heaven!
