WE 94 Pts - According to Wine Enthusiast - Dry, smooth and distinguished. Shows Mondavi’s ability to get the grapes ripe
in blackberries and currants, yet the fruit pulls back at the last moment, letting earthy, herbal notes take over, providing complexity and endless pleasure. The tannins are pure Oakville—sweet, soft and supple. Drink this elegant, balanced wine over the next six years. Editors’ Choice.
The newest vintage of the Robert Mondavi Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon has dropped, the 2009. The Oakville appellation is a two mile stretch of land in the Napa Valley, with growers such as Opus One, Screaming Eagle and Joseph Phelps. Mondavi's 2008 vintage scored accolades and ratings coveted by all. The 2008 Oakville scored 94 points with Wine Spectator and landed the number 20 spot on Wine Spectator's Top 100 of 2011. Yet, the scoring was not over with 93 and 92 points respectively with Wine Enthusiast and James Suckling. It's just a short matter of time before this consistent Cabernet has the same attention. Be the first to acquire this fine wine before it becomes unavailable, and trust us, it will. Rated 90+
