WA 92+ WS 92 Pts - According to Wine Advocate - Very deep purple-black in color, the 2010 Twelftree Blewitt Springs Shiraz is intensely scented of black plums and red plum compote with nuances of crushed blueberries, menthol and chargrilled meat. Very big, bold and weighty in the mouth, the voluptuous flesh is structured with medium to firm grainy tannins and balanced acid, finishing long with some spiciness coming through. Drink this one now to 2019+.
According to Wine Spectator - Firm, focused and deft in balance, letting its tarry blackberry and dried cherry flavors ride on refined tannins, with a welcome lift of acidity on the finish, which persists impressively. Best from 2013 through 2020. 200 cases imported.
Tasting Notes - Colour - Inky dark black Aroma A complex bouquet of dark cherry, mint, smoke, plums, incense, ginger, roasted meats and savoury spice; its intensity is backed with graphite and crushed rock. Palate - The fruit starts out very concentrated with an underlying purity that is focused and very layered. The tannins are rounded and show a lovely density, resulting in a coating mouthfeel with flavours of plum, spice and white pepper. It's very clean on the finish and lingers effortlessly on a very long palate. Rated 90+
