Four Vines 2007 Zinfandel The Sophisticate Sonoma County - Winemaker Notes - Our 2007 Sonoma Zin was kissed with a touch of Petite Sirah and aged in small French and American oak barrels for 14 months. This wine has a sexy nose with velvet vanilla oak tones, followed by rich, spicy berry fruit and a hint of cedar. Big flavors, yet refined and stylish. The James Bond of Zinfandel…he will seduce you. Rosenblum 2006 Zinfandel Harris Kratka Vineyard Alexander Valley -Tasting Notes - This wine shows intense black cherry and ripe plum fruit typical of the Alexander Valley. It is smooth, silky and exotic on the palate with hints of violets, rose petal, vanilla and currants. Drink this sumptuous wine alongside filet mignon, rack of lamb or even a well-aged duck breast with wild berry compote.
Quivira 2006 Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley - Tasting Notes - Bright berries, briar and wisps of pepper and rich earth show in the nicely concentrated, slightly juicy aromas of this well-focused young Zinfandel, and fruit takes the lead in the wine's lightly woodsy, very solidly varietal flavors as well. If fairly ripe, the wine is balanced and not at all hot on the palate, and its firming twist of last-minute acids ensures a few years of positive growth.
