93pts, The Tasting Panel - "This purple goddess is slick and shiny. She's both Earth Mother and Venus out of the shell, drawing out minerals liliacs, black pepper and plump blueberry in an edgy modern unfolding."

Vinous 90 WE 90 Pts - According to Josh Raynolds - "Opaque ruby. Suave, perfumed aromas of candied dark berries, violet and cracked pepper, with a hint of smokiness emerging slowly. Quite Rhône-like in character, offering juicy black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a touch of licorice. A smoky note appears on the gently tannic finish, which lingers with very good spicy persistence."

According to Wine Enthusiast - "Cooked cherries in vanilla butter, just-pressed espresso, chopped dill and a hint of tar decorate the nose of this 71% Syrah, 24% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot blend from a unique vineyard atop the Cuesta Grade. Black licorice, dark blackberries, rustic elderberries and a cedar-y, asphalt-laden grip power the palate." 71% Syrah, 24% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot. 14.3% ABV.

Brilliant color, inviting aroma. Balanced mix of fruit flavors and tannins. Enjoyed, and have another one set aside to enjoy in a year or so.
