WE 92 Pts - Cellar Selection! According to Wine Enthusiast - Good for Atlas Peak for holding this Cabernet for more than five years before releasing it. It’s still tannic and young, with intense blackberry, blueberry and cassis flavors that are dry and spicy. Showing an elegant mouthfeel, it needs a little more time. Hold until 2015, but it could develop over the next decade.
Winemakers Notes - This 2006 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon is driven by its balanced acidity; due to the coolness of this elevated climate. The wine exhibits good structure, shows rich purple color and has briary, brambly wild blackberry flavors, as well as hints of spice, pepper, and dried lavender, anise and sage. This 2006 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon wonderfully complements a coffee and pepper rubbed rib roast served with au gratin potatoes. Rated 90+
