Badia a Coltibuono extra virgin olive oil is extracted naturally and first cold pressed free of any type of heat or chemical treatment. Rich in anti-oxidants, it is highly resistant to rancidity and particularly long-lived. The color of Badia a Coltibuono is golden yellow with strong green nuances. It tastes of typical fruitness and ardent olive flavor. The mild peppery sensation experienced at the back of the palate is characteristic of oil of low acidity produced from freshly picked early-harvested olives. It's best used for finishing cooked dishes, drizzled on soups, in pasta, risotto, on raw vegetables, in salads and on country bread.
