WE 92 WA 92 - According to Wine Enthusiast - "This is Col Solare’s first release to be designated from Red Mountain, with its estate vineyard making up 87% of the blend. Principally Cabernet Sauvignon along with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, the wine features notes of red and black fruit, high-toned herbs, chocolate and barrel spices. It shows a good mixture of elegance and power with a supple feel and well structured tannins. Best from 2018 to 2023."
According to Wine Advocate - "More approachable, yet still beautiful, the 2011 Col Solare checks in as a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Malbec. It exhibits classy ripe black currants, charred meats, licorice and toasty notes to go with a full-bodied, layered and seamless feel on the palate. Lacking the back-end level of concentration found in the 2010, it is nevertheless beautifully balance and seamless, with fine tannin showing on the finish. Give it a year or two and drink it through 2026."
