Surprising!
Having a palate inclined toward the Speyside Single Malts (preferrably the Glenlivet), I was impressed with the uniqueness to this Highland Single Malt. It has the sweet, nuttiness I enjoy from the Speysides, but there is an earthiness and malt reminiscent of an unfiltered beer that I have never tasted in another single malt regardless of region. It may never be your favorite, but it is absolutely worth a taste and has found a home in my cabinet.
