A lovely little Zin from Amador County, known for producing distinctive Zinfandel from old vines. Easton's Amador County Zin is full and rich, with Bing Cherry, black peppercorn character, and sweet tobacco character.

According to Wine Enthusiast - "This is an amazing price for such quality, the wine resplendent in accessible red cherry and blackberry fruit and leathery tannins. Elegant and fairly restrained, it’s soft, structured and young, with room to develop further. Juicy and creamy, it delivers minty spice on the finish."

According to Wine Spectator - "Sleek and crisp, with lively cherry, herb and mineral flavors that linger toward ripe tannins. Drink now through 2017."

According to Wine & Spirits - "A potent zin with salty licorice and beetroot flavors, this is a direct, sanguine expression of Foothills minerality, with a floral edge that helps lift it out of the dirt. It’s an intense red for a flavorful cheese like Vella Dry Jack."

Winemakers Notes - "The 2012 has full black cherry and blackberry fruit aromas with a beautiful balance and a big, sumptuous, and juicy mouth feel. It also presents complex spicy aromas, with a nice creamy texture derived from the 10 months time it receives in, only, French oak barrels. This wine has become our popular, but serious cru Beaujolais-styled/Rioja crianza-styled Zinfandel." 14.5% ABV.
