IWC 89 WE 89 Pts - According to International Wine Cellar - Ruby-red. Pungent aromas of dark berry, cola and vanilla show good depth, with allspice and fresh rose notes providing lift. Supple and open-knit, offering sweet blackberry and cherry-cola flavors that spread out on the mid-palate. Closes smooth and subtly spicy, with velvety tannins building slowly and framing the sweet dark fruit notes.
According to Wine Enthusiast - This is a soft, forward, floral and fruity wine that seems to have had all its edges sanded smooth. Nothing wrong with that—it drinks nicely right out of the bottle, with black cherry fruit annotated with scents of violets, smoke and char.
Winemakers Notes - Characteristic of 2012, this Pinot is dark and dense, on the nose and in the mouth. Campari, carpaccio, bramble, tangerine peel and a whiff of violets introduce the expansive palate of loganberry, pomegranate, dark cherry and sandalwood. Mouth-enveloping and increasingly satisfying with each sip. 13.5% ABV.
