The vines grow on rocky hillsides beside the bassin de Thau and produce a fresh, dry white wine with floral and peach aromas. Ideal with Seafood, grilled fish and salads. The Picpoul de Pinet is a dry white wine that is aromatic and very low in acidity. The locals drink Picpoul with shell fish especially oysters from the Etang de Thau. On the noze, floral and citrus come through and nicely complement the vivacious character of this wine. The finish is slightly salty (think sea food) that makes one crave for oysters!
