WA 90 Pts - According to Wine Advocate - Coming all from Stolpman’s Vineyard near the top of Ballard Canyon, the 2013 Roussanne Stolpman Vineyard spent 6 months in 70% neutral barrels and 30% stainless steel prior to bottling. Exhibiting pretty notes of pear, honey blossom, white flowers and lemon curd, it’s medium-bodied, fresh, lively and pure, with a delicious, easy-drinking style. I love the overall purity here, and while I don’t think it will make old bones, it should drink nicely for 2-3 years.
According to Antonio Galloni - The 2013 Roussanne Stolpman Vineyard is quite floral and even tropical at this early stage. White flowers, pineapple, mint and chamomile flesh out in an attractive, mid-weight wine. With time, the typical honeyed notes will develop in bottle, but today the flavors are very much on the bright side.
Tasting Notes - Sourced from the Stolpman Vineyard, our 2013 Roussanne is a generous, full wine. Complex aromatics of star jasmine, honey and citrus. Rich in the mouth, this wine exhibits honeydew melon and stone fruit flavors, ending with a clean, wet stone minerality on the finish. As a young wine, it is classic Roussanne, and should age for years to come. The longer you wait to drink it the more you shall be rewarded. 14% ABV.
