W&S 92 IWC 91+ WA 91 WS 91 - Perigee exemplifies this vineyardメs characteristic cedary, black cherry, richly structured elegance. Vibrant aromas of baking spice, blueberry, plum and fresh floral notes are accented with earthy minerality, exuding power and grace on a chalky tannin finish.

W&S 92 IWC 91+ WA 91 WS 91 Pts - According to Wine & Spirits - L’Ecole’s Perigee, from Seven Hills Vineyard, is a blend of about 60 percent cabernet with merlot and a smattering from the rest of the Bordeaux pantheon. Like the Ferguson, from up-ridge, this wine leads with a dark basalt vein of minerality in its aroma, before a molasses–red cherry mélange comes into view. The flavors go more toward macerated plum, firmly expressed, and girded by tannins that feel massive, streamlined and firm all at once, not so much grounding the wine as driving it. Impressive, it will benefit from cellar time.

According to Stephen Tanzer - Dark, bright red. Aromas of blackberry, mulberry, cocoa powder, violet and licorice, along with a whiff of slightly raw oak. Densely packed and quite primary, showing a penetrating quality and a faintly medicinal character to the flavors of blackberry, raspberry and minerals. Finishes with excellent juicy length and grip, but the tannins will need several years of aging to soften.

According to Wine Advocate - Better, the flagship 2011 Estate Perigee is a rocking blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 6% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot that comes from the windblown loess soils of the Seven Hills Vineyard outside of Walla Walla. Concentrated, rich and with solid structure, this medium to full-bodied effort has classic black raspberry, cassis, lead pencil, toast and assorted spices to go with building tannin, solid mid-palate depth and impressive length. It will have over a decade of total longevity.

According to Wine Spectator - Supple, generous and graceful, with an interesting grapefruit peel note adding charm to the polished blackberry and dark chocolate flavors, lingering engagingly. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2019.60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 6% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot. 14.5% ABV.
