WE 92 WA 90 Pts - According to Wine Enthusiast - "This is opulent and rich, with a thick, velvety texture and pretty aromas of blackberry, chocolate, leather and freshly milled white pepper. Cortona is the wine area of Italy that’s most closely associated with this grape."
According to Wine Advocate - "The 2008 Syrah Bramasole is nicely done in this vintage. To be sure, the 2008 doesn’t quite have the exotic richness of the best years, but it nevertheless reveals lovely depth and energy. Plums, black cherries, flowers, oak, mint and licorice flesh out on the inviting, medium-bodied finish. Varietal notes don’t play a huge role here, rather this is Syrah made in a juicy, fruit-driven style. The 2008 is best enjoyed over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016."
According to Wine Spectator - "This red is marked by new oak, its cherry and blackberry flavors framed by vanilla and charred wood accents. Too oaky in the end, with a spicy finish. Drink now through 2018." 14% ABV.
