A big, full-bodied effort, it remains gorgeously balanced and elegant, with solid mid-palate depth and ripe, focusing tannin on the finish. It-s a beauty and should be even better in another handful of years and have 15+ years of longevity. Drink 2016-2025."

The merlot here is typically austere, notes O'Reilly."
