93pts, Decanter Magazine - According to Decanter - "A rounder expression of Albariño. This has all the yellow and white stone fruit of the variety, overlaid with a velvety mouth-feel and creamy richness from four months on the lees."
IWC 90 WS 89 WA 89 WE 89 Pts - According to International Wine Cellar - "Pale gold. Ginger- and mineral-tinged citrus and orchard fruits on the nose and palate, with a sexy floral nuance gaining strength with air. Fleshy and dry, finishing with firm cut and repeating minerality. This wine has the requisite heft to handle full-flavored food but it also has the vivacity to work with light seafood preparations."
According to Wine Spectator - "Broad and firm, this white delivers quince, tangerine, quinine and blanched almond flavors, with good structure and grip. A bold, distinctive version. Drink now through 2015."
According to Wine Advocate - "The 2013 Pazo de Barrantes is their yearly un-oaked Albariño cold-fermented in stainless steel and matured in contact with the fine lees for some four months. It has a subtle, fresh nose with aromas of freshly cut grass, fennel, aniseed and a citric side combined with notes of apples. The medium-bodied palate is unctuous, fresh, somehow light and balanced with some bitter flavors towards the end. A very good Albariño, to drink on the younger side."
According to Wine Enthusiast - "Leesy aromas of acacia, gardenia and lychee are a bit oily and heavy, but exotic. This is full, round and almost meaty for Albariño. Pithy citrus and bitter melon flavors finish solid and with chunky weight." 13% ABV.
