AG 94+ WA 93 IWC 93 WS 92 Pts - According to Antonio Galloni - Crushed rocks, graphite, spices, dark cherries, flowers and melted road tar all come to life in the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. The 2010 stands apart for its freshness, nuance and pure vibrancy, all of which serve to balance the wine's sumptuous, engaging personality. A harmonious, perfumed finish rounds things out in style. I can't wait to see how the 2010 ages.
According to Robert Parker - It is interesting to compare it to the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, which ratchets up the level of concentration, power and intensity. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of black currants, loamy soil, forest floor, licorice and baking spices. Rich, opulent, medium to full-bodied and more concentrated and layered than its younger sibling, it should drink well for 10-15+ years.
According to International Wine Cellar - Full black ruby. Vibrant aromas of black fruits, plum, minerals, mocha and brown spices. Fleshy, broad and suave, showing a fine-grained texture and excellent inner-mouth lift to the dark berry and licorice flavors. The slowly building finish features ripe tannins and excellent subtle length; very dry in a classic way. Again, I was not aware of the high alcohol.
According to Wine Spectator - Pure and well-focused on dark berry, with plum, currant and black cherry at the core. Cedar, crushed rock and loamy earth notes emerge on the finish, where the tannins give the flavors traction. Drink now through 2024. 685 cases made.
