JS 98 WA 92 WS 92 IWC 91 Pts - According to James Suckling - The precision to this malbec is extraordinary. It shows dark berries, dark chocolate, walnut and violets. Full body, with incredible depth and clarity. Blackberry, licorice and blueberries. It goes on for minutes. Layers of fabulous fruit. Drink or hold.
According to Wine Advocate - The 2009 Terrazas Single Vineyard Malbec Las Compuertas showed much better, but displayed the heat of the 2009 vintage. It is very dark-colored, almost opaque, with a brooding nose of ripe cassis, blueberries, black olives and subtle smoked notes. The palate is full-bodied, with round-tannins, good stuffing and structure to age with style. Drink 2015-2020.
According to Wine Spectator - This is filled to the brim with dense, concentrated, well-integrated flavors of dark plum, cherry tart and mocha. The tannins are big yet balanced, the fresh finish chewy and well-spiced, with a hint of creaminess.
According to International Wine Cellar - Saturated medium ruby to the rim. Superripe aromas of kirsch, black raspberry, bitter chocolate and nutty oak. Juicy, sweet and very ripe, with an almost liqueur-like quality to the superconcentrated flavors of kirsch, smoke, spices and minerals. This fat, seamless wine finishes with palate-coating fruit, very good lift and tannins that reach the front teeth. Rated 90+
