Its fragrance, intensity and energy are all reminiscent of freshly fermenting must, with ripe juicy flavours of blackberry, spiced cherries, minerals and Asian spices wrapped around a skeleton of fresh acidity and fine mineral laden tannins.

Details

WS 91 IWC 90 Pts - According to Wine Spectator - Smooth, rich and expressive, with chocolate undertones to the cherry and guava flavors, lingering easily against polished tannins. Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. Drink now through 2019.

According to International Wine Cellar - Bright violet color. Aromas of raspberry preserves, fresh flowers, licorice and white pepper show very good energy and focus. Juicy, focused and lively on the palate, offering bitter cherry and red berry flavors underscored by a spicy element. Shows a sweet floral pastille quality on the finish, along with silky, even tannins.

Winemakers Notes - Bold and seductive, this youthful, unoaked blend encapsulates all that is great in natural, pure, unseasoned wine. Its fragrance, intensity and energy are all reminiscent of freshly fermenting must, with ripe juicy flavours of blackberry, spiced cherries, minerals and Asian spices wrapped around a skeleton of fresh acidity and fine mineral laden tannins. Soft and sensuous, this wine is frightfully drinkable already, but as with its predecessors will greatly recompense those who choose to give it a few years in the cellar. 62% Grenache, 23% Shiraz, 15% Mataro. 15% ABV. Rated 90+
