WE 95 JS 92 WA 91 WS 91 Pts - According to Wine Enthusiast - This is a real blaster of a Malbec, showing power, concentration and subtleties. The bouquet is full of graham cracker, cola, monster berry and moss notes, while the pure, driving palate deals flavors of toasty blackberry, spice, mocha and more. The lengthy but mellow finish hums like a fine-tuned machine.
According to James Suckling - A focused and refined red with hints of plum jam and dark chocolate with hints of coffee beans. Full body, firm tannins and a long, long finish. Racy for the vintage.
According to Wine Advocate - The 2009 Malbec Single Vineyard Jorge Miralles from La Consulta in the Uco Valley, is fermented in concrete vats and aged for 18 months in new French oak. It has a sweet black cherry and blueberry jam-scented bouquet that is opulent, glossy and charming: loaded with more glycerine than it knows what to do with. The palate is full-bodied with super-ripe, plush blueberry and cassis fruit that caresses the mouth and does not fall into that trap of trying to impress or lacquer the mouth in dry tannins. It is sumptuous, ravishing and precious, with a sensual, caressing blueberry finish. This is well-crafted, heady Mendoza Malbec.
According to Wine Spectator - Dark, with a smoky edge to the cassis, wild berry compote and plum sauce notes that feature firm tannins and layered accents of woodsy spice, smoke and tar.
Winemakers Notes - Malbec of deep red color with black tones, revealing sweet aromas or ripe plums and cherries with refreshing balsamic notes. Great concentration of red fruits with notes of milk chocolate. In the mouth, it is sweet and juicy with nuances of white chocolate truffle. Long finish with velvety and concentrated tannins. Ideal to serve with dishes prepared with red meats and game cooked in a plow disc, hard cheeses and smoked cold cuts. 100% Malbec. 15% ABV. Rated 90+
