WE 91 Pts - According to Wine Enthusiast - Toast and mocha scents and flavors surround a core of tart red berries. More barrel influence comes out as the wine breathes-clove, spice and smoke-as it rolls into a tightly-wrapped, tannic finish. Give this a lot of aeration, or tuck it away for another five or six years.
DOUBLE GOLD - San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
GOLD - Great Northwest Invitational Wine Competition.
Tasting Notes - This wine has an enticingly complex nose of baking spice, ripe olive and thyme integrated beautifully with aromas of black fruits and cassis. In the mouth the wine is firm but rich showing notes of pepper, herb and berries. Integrated tannins enhance the texture and give proportion; the finish is complex, generous, and long. While this wine can be enjoyed now it will benefit greatly from additional cellaring and, with proper storage, should develop for ten years or more. Composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 7% Syrah, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Merlot. 14.4% ABV. Rated 90+
