IWC 89+ AG 89 Pts - According to Stephen Tanzer - "Bright red-ruby. Musky black raspberry, blackberry, licorice, menthol and oak on the nose. Distinctly tighter and less pliant now than the Pauline's Cuvee, displaying a touch of medicinal reserve to the sappy dark berry, violet and menthol flavors. Shows serious spine without coming off as hard: I'd give this persistent cabernet a year or two to mellow in bottle."
According to Antonio Galloni - "Atalon's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is quite pretty. Freshly cut flowers, mint, sweet spices and herbs waft from the glass in a perfumed, mid-weight Cabernet with plenty of near-term appeal. The style is lifted, aromatic and savory."
According to Wine Enthusiast - "A Bordeaux-style blend, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, from vineyards throughout the Napa Valley. This red is made in a more robust style, the tannins still a tad dry, the fruit earthy in sage and cedar with black cherry and chocolaty spice at the fore."
According to Wine & Spirits - "This wine has it all: soft red fruit, tart acidity, a warm, spicy grip to the clay-like tannins...."
Tasting Notes - "Brilliant, dark garnet in color. Rich black cherry, blackberry, plum and currant with hints of spice and toast. Sweet oak and cocoa nib integrates into the juicy black fruit. Soft and velvety texture accentuates a luscious, round mouth feel. Great depth of fruit and spice with hints of mineral, dried herbs, milk chocolate and rose petal. Great on its own, but better with grilled meats." 95.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.6% Merlot, 1.8% Petit Verdot. 13.5% ABV.
