Loved this wine!
I loved this wine and feel the wine critic's review fit, not the best red I've had but I really enjoyed it.

Incredibly Overrated
Saw this wine pop up in an email and noticed the high ratings from fairly reputable sources. Very suspicious price point for a brand new release with 95 points and already being liquidated by an independent seller. Bought a bottle and did a tasting in the parking lot before I purchased a case as intended. I just sensed something wasn’t right about these being so inexpensive, highly rated, brand new release, and being sold at a discount. There is a hint of an evolving nose on this, but it’s got so many different reds in it, this should burst with fragrance. Took a sip and nope. Not good. Tasted like inexpensive cab blended with tea. Let it breathe in the glass for about 15 minutes, nose a little more pleasing, took another sip, and it tasted like a tannic $7 bottle of inexpensive red table wine. I have had house reds at chain Italian restaurants that were more pleasing. Perfect example of why ratings from barrel tastings can be way off. Three hours later shared the rest of opened bottle with spouse. She reacted like I’d spiked her wine with orange juice. If you have a cellar, maybe an inexpensive science project to see how it ages, but otherwise it’s just not a very nice bottle of wine.
