WA 90 Pts - According to Wine Advocate - A smoking value that's made in serious quantities, the 2013 Chardonnay Santa Barbara County has classic stone fruits, white peach, white flowers and classy oak/vanilla notes in a medium-bodied, supple, elegant and fruit-forward style. Fermented and aged half in tank and half in neutral barrel, it's a no-brainer Chardonnay to enjoy over the coming couple of years.
According to Wine Enthusiast - "Toffee, cinnamon apples and a hefty swirl of smoke arise on the nose from the winery’s entry-level bottling. The palate shows caramelized pears, nicely bitter lemon rinds and warm, buttered nut toffee note that carries from first sip to the finish."
Tasting Notes - "The 2013 vintage was an overall dry year with a moderate winter and spring. These conditions led to an abundance of extremely high quality fruit with flavors of stone fruit, fig, honey, hints of brown spice and mineral. The palate is both crisp and concentrated with a mineral finish." 13.5% ABV.
