JS 90 James Suckling - Decadent aromas of dried cherries, spices and dark chocolate. Full body, with velvety tannins and a long chocolate, berry after taste.
According to Wine Advocate - The 2010 Rosso di Montalcino is gorgeous. Dark red cherries, tobacco, flowers and sweet herbs flesh out beautifully in this deep, resonant Rosso. I very much like its power and richness, but both those elements are nicely balanced by the vibrant acidity that is the calling card of Sangiovese. The round, creamy finish leaves a lasting impression. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016.
According to Wine Enthusiast - A crisp, streamlined expression of Sangiovese Grosso that opens with lively aromas of wild berry, white pepper and pressed rose. Pair this wine with sweet meats, such as roasted ham or pork. Rated 90+
