#46 on Wine Spectator's Top 100 of 2015 -
JS 91 WS 90 IWC 89 Pts - According to James Suckling - A wine with lots of mineral, limestone and dried cherry aromas. Full body, velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink now.
According to Wine Spectator - Firm and taut, with a core of cherry and berry flavors, accented by underbrush, tobacco and iron notes. Balanced in a lean way, with a lingering aftertaste of earth and mineral. Best from 2016 through 2025. Smart Buy!
According to International Wine Cellar - (95% sangiovese and 5% canaiolo nero): Good deep red. Strawberry, red cherry, pomegranate and rose petal on the fruity, perfumed nose. Sweet, silky and fresh on the front half, then turns firmer and more minerally on the back end, finishing with lingering floral character. Not the most complex red wine you'll ever drink, but a lovely entry-level Chianti that's hard to resist. 13% ABV.
