Product Description

90pts, The Tasting Panel - "Smooth and fruited with bright plum, keen acidity and soft herbs; elegant, balanced and long."

W&S 92 Pts - According to Wine Advocate - "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon spends 19 months in new and used French oak. It has a well-defined bouquet with dusky red fruit intermingling with cocoa and dark chocolate - perhaps just a little old-fashioned in style but still attractive. The palate is medium-bodied and fleshy with chocolate-tinged, slightly spicy red fruit and an innocuous, easy-drinking finish. Fine."

Winemakers Notes - "Delicate aromas of fresh cranberry and red cherry mingle with enticing notes of cassis, chocolate and tobacco. The wine is round, soft and refined with elegant flavors of red currant, freshly cut herbs, vanilla bean and allspice. Predominantly French oak aging lends structure to the mid-palate with soft tannins and an inviting mouthfeel, balanced by a backbone of clean acidity. This wine’s enduring finish makes it perfectly suited to enjoy today or cellar worthy through 2022-2027. Decant for 30 minutes prior to serving to further enhance aromas and flavors." 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec. 13.8% ABV.

    Consistent Quality

I've been drinking the Jordan Cabernet for over 20 years, and the 2011 is another fantastic vintage that doesn't disappoint. This Bordeaux styled wine has a soft mouth-feel and bright berry flavors. Pairs wonderfully with grilled meats and vegetables. Recommend highly!
