Light straw yellow in color. The bouquet is very crisp and refreshing with lush tropical aromas and flavors, balanced with citrus notes. It has a rich, full, and round mouth feel that is very persistent. It is excellent as aperitif or with light dishes and fish.
Tasting Notes: Ruby red in color, the wine shows intense and complex aromas of ripe red fruit, sweet spices, dried fruit and nuts. Firm bodied on the palate, the wine is round with supple and velvety tannins. The finish and aftertaste are long and savory.
Varietals: Principally Sangiovese, with small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah
It is a 70% Cabernet and 30% Sangiovese blend. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature and maceration lasts for about 12 days for both the Cabernet Sauvignon to the Sangiovese. It is then aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels and for a further three months in the bottle. The wine is distinguished by a good structure and is extremely supple making it very pleasant and drinkable.
Sharing the same soil as their famous neighbors at Ornellaia Yantra is a vivacious wine. It has fresh red fruit aromas, good structure and body, and nice acidity. A perfect wine for everyday drinking or simple food pairings. 60% Cabernet 40% Merlot.
The finest bunches of Sangiovese from Montenidoli's vineyards: after macerating in tank, it ages for 12 months in barriques and for at least three years in bottle. Its power and tightness reveals it youth, and it has a long future ahead of it.
