100% Sangiovese Grosso clone from warm vineyards in the southern part of the Brunello di Montalcino appellation. The wine is hand harvested from vines ranging in age from 12 to 35 years old. Once inside the winery it is fermented for 15 days on the skins before being transferred to new French oak barrels where it ages for its first year. The wine spends its second year in larger oak casks before being transferred to stainless steel tank and finally bottle.

92 pts Wine Enthusiast "Aromas of wild berry, savory herb, menthol and toast lead the nose. The vibrant palate delivers crunchy red cherry, eucalyptus, sage and cooking spice alongside youthfully assertive tannins and brisk acidity. It closes on a licorice note."
