James Suckling 97 Points - "A wine with terrific texture and balance. Very polished tannins that are etheral and harmonious. Full-bodied, yet fresh, this is about combining elegance with power. It's so Latour in style. Excellent depth. Better in 2017, but so fine now. Blend of cabernet sauvigon, merlot and petit verdot."
94 Points - "Aromas of blueberries and blackberries with hints of minerals. Full body, very fine tannins with orange peel and currant character. Chewy yet polished tannins. Better in 2018 but already delicious. Impressive for the difficult 2014 vintage." - James Suckling
It is a 70% Cabernet and 30% Sangiovese blend. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature and maceration lasts for about 12 days for both the Cabernet Sauvignon to the Sangiovese. It is then aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels and for a further three months in the bottle. The wine is distinguished by a good structure and is extremely supple making it very pleasant and drinkable.
Sharing the same soil as their famous neighbors at Ornellaia Yantra is a vivacious wine. It has fresh red fruit aromas, good structure and body, and nice acidity. A perfect wine for everyday drinking or simple food pairings. 60% Cabernet 40% Merlot.
