WA 90 Pts - According to Wine Advocate - The 2011s here, while a step back from the 2012s (and the incredible 2010), are rock-solid in the vintage. The 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape (same blend/elevage as the 2012) offers up perfumed, forward notes of spice, cedar, roast beef and assorted meatiness to go with a deep, black fruit core. Medium-bodied, nicely textured and supple, with a hint of the savory tannin in the vintage, it should be consumed over the coming 6-7 years. Drink now-2020.
Winemakers Notes - Winemaker Coralie has created a Chateauneuf using beautiful materials and without heaviness, with a contemporary vision of the expression of these exceptional soil… The nose is an exotic mixture of candied fruit, scrub land, and spices. The mouth is ample and unctuous, balanced between freshness and aromatic persistence. A wine in all its finesse. 14.5% ABV.
