WS 92 Pts - According to Wine Spectator - "Broad and nicely balanced, offering plum, cherry, leather and tobacco flavors. Lingers well, picking up a mineral note on the finish. Ideal for grilled or braised meats. Drink now through 2022."
According to Antonio Galloni - "Super-ripe black cherries, smoke, tobacco, plums and spices flesh out in the 2011 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. This is a decidedly opulent, fruit-driven vintage for the Vino Nobile, with plenty of overall depth and richness but tannins that aren't fully ripe. Still, this is a solid wine in its price range. "
Tasting Notes - "Vivid ruby red color and good concentration. Intense fragrant aroma with evident fruity notes among which are wild black cherry, violet and vanilla. Full balanced flavor with noticeable but discreet tannic. Grilled meats, roasted white meats and medium aged cheeses." 14% ABV.
