WA 89 WS 88 WE 88 IWC 88 Pts - According to Wine Advocate - "The 2012 Felino Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot from Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu, 20% of which is aged in French and American oak. 50% of the Cabernet grapes are crushed. The nose has notes of blood, blackberry, paprika and lead pencil, quite recognizable as ripe Cabernet, with a fresh palate displaying red fruit flavors, very good balance, supple texture, and a fresh herbaceous finish. Drink now- 2019."
According to International Wine Cellar - "Bright, dark red. Currant, mocha, cedar and dark chocolate on the subdued nose; less scented than the merlot. Then sweet, supple and seamless, with an inviting creamy middle framed by spicy energy. The flavors of black cherry, herbs and smoke linger on the suavely tannic finish. This, too, punches above its class."
According to Wine Spectator - "Well-balanced, with fresh acidity supporting the cassis and cherry skin fruit character. Accented notes of slate and mocha fill the finish. Drink now."
According to Wine Enthusiast - "Earthy, fairly deep aromas of black fruits and mellow spices come with plenty of oak. In the mouth, this is fresh in feel and medium in body. Flavors of toasty, creamy oak and related vanilla top berry flavors, while the finish is mild, smooth and woody."
Tasting Notes - "Bright, deep red, brimming with aromas of red cherry, blackberry, and cassis with a fresh mint note throughout. The palate is perfectly balanced, with concentrated cassis and white pepper, bright acidity and ripe, fine grain tannins that support the structure." 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8 % Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot. 14.3% ABV.
