WA 90+ Pts - According to Robert Parker - "The 2011 Tresor is a strong effort in this frustratingly irregular vintage. It offers a dense ruby/purple color as well as a fresh, lively, black currant and black cherry-scented bouquet displaying a touch of incense and background oak. The wine hits the palate with an impressive display of rich, ripe, pure fruit, no hollowness or herbaceousness, well-integrated wood, and a medium to full-bodied, stylish, complex mouthfeel. Cellar this young, promising 2011 red for a few years and drink it over the following 10-15 years."
Winemakers Notes - "A blend of the classic Bordeaux varietals – Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. Vibrant aromas and flavors of fresh boysenberry, cedar, baking spices vanilla, and toasted oak combine with a full, rich mid-palate with considerable, round tannins. This wine’s upfront silkiness and roundness make for a delicious selection now and will drink well for 15 to 20 years."
"Our Tresor complements lamb, beef and duck dishes that are roasted or braised. Try Tresor with strong-flavored cheeses such as Gorgonzola and sharp Cheddar." 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbec, 8% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot. 14.3% ABV.
